Top 5 Cryptocurrency Apps Performance in Central America, Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of top cryptocurrency apps on a unified platform in Central America showcased varied trends in downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

World App - Worldcoin Wallet saw a significant decline in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 80K at the beginning of January and dropping to about 4K by the end of March. However, its weekly active users remained robust, peaking at around 591K mid-February before gradually declining to 459K by the end of the quarter.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto maintained a steady weekly download rate, beginning the quarter with approximately 33K downloads and closing at around 19K. The app's active user base started at 424K, peaked at 470K in mid-January, and stabilized at around 370K by the end of March.

Bitso: Buy Bitcoin and Crypto experienced a gradual decrease in weekly downloads, beginning at 14K and ending at approximately 3K. Despite this, the active user count remained relatively high, starting at 692K and showing fluctuations before settling at 477K by quarter's end.

Phantom - Crypto Wallet exhibited a sharp decline in downloads, from 3K at the start of the quarter to just over 600 by the end. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 24K and dropping to 19K by the end of March.

Finally, Moonshot started Q1 with downloads around 1K, peaking at 13K mid-January, before declining to 412. Its active users mirrored this trend, starting at 1.8K, peaking at 18K in January, and ending the quarter at 6K.
